AMG Guides
 Ian Osteyee, head guide, is the only AMGA certified guide in the adirondacks with more than 25 years of local experience. Ian is also a certified Wilderness First Responder. Ian began climbing in the Adirondacks in the early eighties and started making first ascents as early as 1984. Ian has climbed throughout the United States including Alaska and the Canadian rockies. Ian started guiding in the Adirondacks in 1986 and worked for Adirondack Rock & River for eight years. Ian then founded Adirondack Mountain guides, raising the bar for professional guiding in the Adirondacks. Ian does most of the guiding himself, but invites some of his experienced climbing partners and guides to help out from time to time. This approach has kept the standards at AMG consistent and high.
